About What We Do
Throughout Cornwall, we provide a catering service and more—tackling food poverty and addressing the heart of the community’s waste crisis. Welcome to ‘Project For The People’, a service rooted in the community and committed to making a difference.
Cornwall has, over the years, seen a rapid increase in communities seeking the help and support of local food banks. This is largely due to the rise in household utility bills, soaring rent costs—making Cornwall now the most expensive county to live in within the UK—and a growing number of people being forced to go hungry.
The lack of employment opportunities in smaller communities, with some sectors being seasonal and wages not matching the rising cost of living, only adds to the pressure.
This is where we fit in.
Our service reaches communities by providing a meal service, offering both cooked meals and home boxes. With a strong understanding and experienced background in catering and hospitality, we use these skills to create hearty, nourishing meals.
We work with many companies, supermarkets, and food bank organisations to tackle the eye-watering amount of food waste and find a more sustainable solution to this nationwide problem.
